High pressure aloft to push Hanoi temperatures to 35°C

Temperatures to rise as high pressure aloft builds
High pressure aloft and warm air are expected to combine to raise temperatures in Vietnam on Oct. 24. Around 5,000m, a ridge of high pressure extends above surrounding areas, making cloud formation less likely. Meanwhile, warm air of +18°C or higher around 1,500m is spreading widely from the South China Sea and continuing to warm the air near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are expected to rise more readily.
Forecast for major cities
High pressure aloft and warm air are expected to persist during the period. In Hanoi, sunshine is also expected to intensify, with temperatures forecast to reach 35°C and humidity 54% on the 24th. On the 25th, clouds are expected to spread over Hanoi and weaken the sunshine, bringing temperatures down to 34°C. Da Nang is forecast to reach 33°C and Ho Chi Minh City 32°C, with neither reaching 35°C.
Please limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Drink fluids regularly and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
