Temperatures to rise as warm air combines with strong sunshine

On September 16, temperatures in India are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will be generally clear, and sunlight will warm the ground. In addition, air with temperatures of +18°C or higher around 1,500 m above the ground is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea, continuing to warm areas near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are expected to rise more easily.

Outlook for various areas

Strong sunshine and warm air will continue during the period. Delhi is forecast to reach 36°C on the 16th, with humidity at 41%, resulting in dry heat. Chennai will reach 33°C, Lucknow 32°C, and Mumbai 30°C due to weaker sunshine; none are expected to reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently, and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
